VIA Rail Alexandria Station is a Recognized federal heritage building. This single-storey brick railway was constructed in 1919, and was in need of full brick restoration and roof replacement/attic insulation.
Work included full repointing as well as local repair and replacement of damaged masonry units, and foundation stabilization. Additional masonry conservation measures involved chimney repairs and façade restoration to maintain the building’s historic character while improving its overall condition and performance.
